In the front seat was Theresa Iron Shell (decedent) and the decedents husband, Carl Iron Shell, Jr. (appellant). In the back seat of the car was Nelson Iron Shell, an uncle and co-defendant at trial. The passerby, after determining that Teresa Iron Shell was dead, summoned authorities to the scene.
